****EARTH UNDER FIRE: Humanity's Survival of the Apocalypse, by Paul Laviolette, published by STARLANE, Schenectady, N.Y., 1997.] EARTH UNDER FIRE is a brilliant cross-disciplinary treatise by Dr. Laviolette, that should convincingly show (to even the most jaded secular thinker or scholar,) that some of our ancient ancestors (including, by not limited to THE HOLY BIBLE,) had very specific knowledge of our galaxy of at least a 100 billion stars - the whereabouts of the center of our galaxy, but more importantly, how this very center (THE 'EYE' OF RE) could send out extremely dangerous "emissions" that could speed their way (near the velocity of light) - impacting our very own sun (SOL) & its very own planets (like Earth) in such a way as to devastate its living beings and animals that so inhabited the planets. Dr. Laviolette calls this the "GALACTIC SUPERWAVE" that is chiefly responsible for this same devastation, and is reflected in all of his cross-disciplinary research. refreshing case for the latter, which will be addressed subsequently.] initially cite one telling quote from the Book of Amos, (9:5) that specifically reflects one crucial part of Dr. Laviolette's theory: melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned as by the flood of Egypt." melt! We will then travel through the fuzzy world of myth & legend, (including especially the Eqgyptian myth & Hopi Indian Journey,) just to see how really real these so-called myths may have been, even to this very day! Finally, we will explore what the Biblical scribes of old had stated, & how well it may match up with our past and present "shaky-fire & ice" planet's history, and how it, itslef, matches up with the history of our own Galactic reality! important date which will be repeated throughout this review, and is actually mirrored by the Osibway myth, as it relates to the total devastation of the planet; it is also - not surprisingly - documented in other world myths.] (pgs. 178-179) indirectly - the timeframe and reason for the sinking (melting) of ATLANTIS. Yet, when all is said and done, it begs the question as to where these ancient sources derived such exact scientific knowledge? Allegedly, our current science only will admit to Galileo peering through his one inch telescope in 1609, which could hardly have accounted for the knowledge alluded to in these "myths" up to that time~ so ~ let's start with ASTROLOGY, and see what "dots" connect to this overall thesis...shall we?}} not a BLACK HOLE, since the gasses are being pushed away. (pgs. 45-47) maybe deliberately left out of the CANON OF THE CHURCH:-( ]] The "FIRST WORLD" was then destroyed by FIRE! MYTH & SYMBOL IN ANCIENT EGYPT, wheree 'ATUM' equals "COMPLETE" & "RE" equals "EYE OF." Furthermore, the primal waters is equivolent to "NUN," i.e. the personified premordial ether medium from which all matter & energy in the universe comes into being; in the Egyptian myth, these forces are executed by ATUM's progeny: the gods Shu, Tefnet, Geb & Nut. (pgs. 74-75) THE DIALOGUE OF THE SAVIOR, where, when Jesus was asked about the beginning, he states in verse 16 : melt and all will drown~mountains molten (repeated) & valleys cleft~Earth burned~people will enter caves out of fear~Earth broken down and moved exceedingly~destruction of one third of Earth's creatures & ships~Human-headed locusts with scorpion-like tails. (This last image is from Revelations 9 of the scorpion-like tails which is very reminiscent of many of the world myth references as previously noted, where the zodiacal sign of SCORPIUS plays such a central part in the destructive force coming from (as this thesis indicates) the Galactic Center, assuming, for the time being, the accuracy of Laviolette's ideas.) melting of in lieu of a mere sinking of, which had been hinted at earlier with the citation from the Book of Amos. Ledt us begin with FATIMA. THE FATIMA PROPHECY where it seems to demonstrate in symbol form the "MIRACLE OF THE SUN" in such a way that would tend to support the thesis Laviolette had presented on a strictly scientific basis to his peers (back in 1984-85,) which had been addressed in the aforementioned APPENDIX C. chastisement that would involve between one third to two thirds of the world's population unless they turned from their materialistic & selfish ways to the "ways of Love." [Note: A similar dynamic actually transpired, as we had seen, in the Hopi journey myth.] Stanford identifies "the Source" as saying that the Galactic Superwave plays an agent in this, and was responsible for the past & future decimation, and the mutational evolution of the human species. He cites the visions of the children of Garabandal, Spain, in 1962, as having witnessed some of these frightening things that are coming. (p.329) HEAVENLY LIGHTS, a book about researchers of FATIMA, and what they found out after extensive interviews, etc., I am a little uneasy about the details of this phenomeon, but will reserve judgment; the very nature of "channeled sources" cautions us to be very careful as to where the source of the information is coming from; and I am not the only one to have reservations - not necessarily to the reality of the phenomenon, but rather to "some" of the details, and who may be responsible for "some" of the activity that the children witnessed. As the old saying goes, The Devil is in the details.}} too logical, and I had never heard of this hypothesis before...but, then again...the ideas of Laviolette's comprehensive treatise is also AN EYE OPENER - so who can say for sure!?!}} melting, and it happened nine millennia earlier than when Solon was told this story, as related by Plato (i.e. 600 B.C.) ~ so ATLANTIS's melting occurred in 9600 B.C. According to Laviolette, this would ostensibly link the melting to the onset of "preboreal climatic warming" at the end of the Younger Dryas cold period, when the rate of glacial meltwater discharged had reached a peak. (Cf. text on page 224 & INDEX for details and explanation of these scientific technical terms.) SECRETS OF ATLANTIS, the sinking was more due to an invading asteroid that devastated the PUERTO RICAN trench.}} a touch of anomalous data like Cayce and Stanford, they all seem somehow to point to an Earthly devastation of gigantyic proportions (from BEYOND) but more interesting, someone seemed to have a grasp of its galactic source, and whoever did, may give us cause to re-examine the importance of these so-called mythical sources...just as Heinrich Schliemann re-esxamined the so-called myth of TROY, and found it to be very real, indeed! melting lands & subsequent floods. I found such cross-references very impressive, since it encapsulated many disciplines & references, including sound scientific areas such as astronomy, chemistry & geology, as well as correlations in world myths, legends, fables, parables & metaphor (like ATLANTIS.) [He makes a

 

Most importantly, the author takes the pains to cite myriad references from THE HOLY BIBLE, that seem to reflect (in specific detail,) this so-called tsunami-like galactic superwave. These references come from both the Old & New Testaments, but I thought it apropos to just

What did Amos know about land melting & people drowning from a flood? Let us first examine the scietific principles that Laviolette presents, where he tries to pinpoint the root of this devastation, and even explore how a land can

 

THE SCIENCE OF 'SUPERWAVE'

 

What is a superwave? Dr. Laviolette simply states that it is "like a thief in the night." They occur every 26,000 yrs. or so (+ or - 3000 years) and can even reoccur every 13,000 years. They originate from a cluster of massive stars, one being a million times as massive as our Sun. The wave itself is like a tsunami in that it is the result of these periodic explosions which send forth deadly electrons & positrons, that spew forth radially from the galactic core-center area. These sub-atomic particles then generate cosmic dust which drastically affects the Earth's climate through its effect of the Sun & sunlight transissions. [The author went on a four year doctoral study to prove the above, which he called the "Galactic Explosion Hypothesis."] (p.69)

 

The author explains in Appendix C some some of the tell-tale clues that show that the devastation done to our planet (especially toward the end of the "Late Pleistocene period") was due to an ET EVENT - & not a terrestrail event! He gives a massive amount of data that revolves around high concentrations of rare Earth elements, like Iridium & Nickel (found in polar ice) that have been responsible for causing "abrupt climatic changes;" (p.353) also, the findings of Beryllium-10 in the Antarctica deep ice drills, pointed again to the "dust" as being of cosmic origin - and Laviolette showed that his cross-discipline research (which is necessary to pinpoint the "culprit") all pointed to the GALACTIC CENTER! The effects of this wave would have caused a "radiation zone" (similar to Earth's VAN ALLEN BELTS,) that would slowly be transported downward by comets, meteoric ice bodies & ice debris. [The details of this are illustrated on page 97 of the text.]

 

The author has found through his research that the LAST ice age contained much higher concentrations of cosmic dust then is contained in present day snow & ice. [This is illustrated of page 115 with the extrememly high spikes of both Beryllium & Iridium - (and as indicated before,) as being tell-tale signs of the Galactic Superwave's cosmic dust.]

 

HOW THIS "DUST" DEVASTATES OUR WORLD

 

The dynamics are relatively simple: it heats the atmosphere and cools the land, which, in turn, dramatically increases "GALACTICE ICE." (pgs. 130-131) [There is a whole section called, 'Ragmarok (The Twilight of the Gods',) via the 'Edda Legens' of the Norse, that documents the frightening consequences of the passage of a Galactic Superwave in prehistoric times.] (pgs. 140-149)

 

This "Glacial Ice" was actually responsible for a "MASS EXTINCTION" - which - according to the author - transpired @12,800 years before the present (BP) or 10,800 B.C. [This is an

 

This mass extinction, of which the Mammoth bears mute testimony to, leads eventually to massive global warming, which, in turn leads to land masses sinking. This happened about 9600 B.C.and not so surprisingly, was told by an ancient priest to Solon (in fable-parable & metaphor) - i.e.

 

SPECIAL NOTE: On page 189, the author explains that the complete Pleistocene period started 1.8 million years ago, and ended 11,600 years ago; the "Late" Pleistocene period would have started 14,860 years ago or (12,860 B.C.) These dates, reflective of dramatic scientific dynamic activity (as Dr. Laviolette posited above,) will also be reflected in the corresponding world myths, and even echoed in THE HOLY BIBLE...so...hold on to your open-minded collective hats - and you will see - perhaps - how all of these loose ends possible bind together in one BIG TAPESTERY OF TOTAL REALITY!!!

 

The author draws our attention to an interesting statistic on page 189: In the so-called Late Wisconsin Stage, which can be marked by the 12,860 B.C. date, 57 large land mammals became extinct! As would be shown on the illustration on page 191, this glaring ANOMALY jumps out of the page to SCREAM: This type of demise did not happen since the dinosaurs were decimated some 65 million years ago. (This seemed to have been due to an asteroid that slammed into the Yucatan penninsula.) WHAT HAPPENED THAT WOULD CAUSE SUCH DEVASTATION? This latter period (the Wisconsin) ended about 11,000 B.C., which again mirrors the first part of the deadly effects of the Galactic Superwave, - or - DEEP FREEZE stage, yet more horror was somehow recorded with deadly floods that would ensue....

 

THE GALACTIC WAVES

 

Laviolette states that this would be like a tsunami (but much more devastating than the one we suffered through during the Christmas season of 2004,) since its kinetic energy would approximate 10,000 megatons of TNT, or 100 times more powerful than the deadly explosion of KRAKATOA. (Cf. pgs. 199-202) The author cites Henry Howorth (

 

Toward the end of the book, the author mentions how the sun crosses the galactic plane every 29 to 34 million years ~ and according to NASA ~ our solar system has a greater chance of encountering interstellar dust & gas clouds, capable of energizing the sun, and thus affect Earth's climate that could lead to mass extinction. (p.303) [What NASA neglected to mention was that this would be due to a "galactic superwave" - but then again - what would you expect from an agency that has a track record of

 

OMINOUS SIDENOTE: Since the author mentioned that these superwaves may reoccur every 13,000 years or so, and since the last evidential event started about 14,860 years ago (BP), are all the world myths (including our HOLY BIBLE) TRYING TO POINT TO OR TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THE DANGER THAT LURKS BEYOND SAGITTARIUS & SCORPIUS- A DANGER THAT COULD CLOSE THE CURTAIN ON OUR VERY CIVILIZATION AS IT HAS DONE IN THE "NOT SO FAR PAST?!?"

 

WHAT THE WORLD MYTHS SAY

 

As mentioned in the beginning, there are many world myths that pointed to - not only the effects of this alleged galactic superwave, but amazingly - where it originated from, if we can follow the connecting dots of Dr. Paul Laviolett's cross-disciplinary research, that, per force, will include the

 

TAURUS - THE CHARGING BULL

 

It seems incredible, but the author points to two portions of the Zodiac that actually act as ostensible _POINTERS_ to where the Galactic Center was, i.e. @13,865 B.C., via the arrow of SAGITTARIUS & the stinger of the SCORPOIN (SCORPIUS.) (Cf. pgs. 32-37) Laviolette goes on to state that this center was not even observed until 1917 by conventional science, in the person of astronomer, Harlow Shapley, - yet - the ancient Sagittarius constellation indications are "eight times better than Shapley's estimate." (p.38) WOW!

 

Furthermore, it was only in 1917 that Shapley showed that our sun (SOL) was not the center of the universe. (p.42) [This seriously makes one wonder if our "advanced" civilzation is merely catching up with THE PAST!!!]

 

The Galactic Center, called SAGITTARIUS A, is a million times as massive as our Sun, and has the largest mass in our galaxy. Even the most massvie gaseous suns are only a "mere' 80 solar masses. The author also states that SAGITTARIUS A is

 

In Babylonian mythology, MARDUK is connected to the "Bon-Star" (SAGITTARIUS) who shoots an arrow through the heart of TIAMAT (DESTRUCTIVE MOTHER GODDESS) and brings matter into being. In another myth, ZEUS defeats the forces of chaos, and establishes order in the physcial universe. The same motif is seen in Egyptian myth; HORUS (who is someties synmbolized by the eagle, which itself is the creative aspect of the Scorpion, according to Laviolette's research,) also defeats SET, bringing matter into being. Horus even holds a scorpion in his left hand. Dr. Laviolette seems to be showing that various cultures were aware of this Galactic Center, and encoding it in their collective myths - the "myth" about the Galactic Center, and the extreme form of matter/energy emanating from its "EYE."

 

This idea was so prevalent that even the Quiche Mayan Indians of South America used similar symbols to convey the same idea! Their SAGITTARIUS represented the Galactic Center, while CENTAURUS was "one radian away" which is astrological talk for QUITE NEAR! Incidentally, CENTAURUS was holding up a shield, as if to symbolize the warding off of the cosmic attack!

 

The HOPI INDIANS called the cosmic threat - "THE BLUE STAR" since they had observed the same color in the core of OTHER GALAXIES, during their respective explosive stages...yet...these other galaxy explosions could not account for the termination of the Hopi's other "THREE WORLDS" - & we are currently in - what they call - "THE FOURTH WORLD>" )pgs. 72-75)

 

THE JOURNEY OF THE HOPI

 

This is an interesting myth so I am going to highlight it, since it parallels our "little" story in quite some detail! It brings together (in story form) what Dr. Laviolette was trying to prove in his 1997 book under analysis, through a basic scientific approach (with supporting evidence.) The HOPI's "FOURTH WORLD" is called "WORLD COMPLETE." Their story is similar in some respects to THE HOLY BIBLE - at least metaphorically!

 

The first age was the Golden age, where MAN lived in harmony with the animals; however, once MAN learned the art of speech, it led to fighting. Sotuknang, (representing the CREATOR,) took a few good men from each race, where the rest would be destroyed. The FEW were led by a cloud by day & a star by night. {{This seems highly reminiscent of the Biblical 'EXODUS' story, which I am sure the reader is well aware of.}} In any event, they were led to an underground mound, to the 'ANT PEOPLE KIVA.' [[One can only surmise that these sentient beings represented God's hoy angels, serving as "WATCHERS" for the remnant of the tribes of MEN - just as Enoch had mentioned the "Holy Watchers' in the "BOOK OF ENOCH" - and a book that was sadly,

 

The "SECOND WORLD" with its people becoming greedy, was destroyed, this time by a pole shift, which led to a FROZEN DEATH! The "THIRD WORLD" was also given over to evil gain & war, so Sotuknang told "Spider Woman" to gather the good & they eventually found safety in the "hollow stems of plants." Interestingly enough, this "WORLD" ended with a GREAT FLOOD - @9550 B.C., which not so coincidentally is connected with Laviolette's specific timeframe as the the melting of the ice sheets - brought on by the effects of the Galactic Superwave. (pgs. 308-309)

 

MYTHICAL DYNAMICS OF A GALACTIC SUPERWAVE

 

There are three, as per Dr. Laviolette: crustal torque, earthquakes & volcanic eruptions. (p.74) {{Even James Churchward, in documenting the sinking (not melting) of Lemuria (MU) in his book, "THE CHILDREN OF MU," cites volcanic eruptions as the probably cause of its demise, & if I remember correctly, it was in the same timeframe as Laviolette's Galactic Superwave, i.e. well before the sinking (melting) of ATLANTIS; Churchward, writing in the 1930s, would have had no idea as to the ultimate possible culprit of this violent volcanic activity within the RING OF FIRE.}}

 

In the EGYPTIAN myth, Laviolette cites ATUM-RE (their CREATOR) sending his "EYE" to inflict punishment on the earlier race of MAN. He marshalls the research of R.T. Rundle Clark's observations, in his own work, called,

 

[[Although not referenced by Laviolette, I could not help thinking while reviewing this work, of the Gnostic tractate,

 

"There was darkness & waters and Spirit upon waters."

 

Could this 'Spirit' be the universal Atum, and the 'waters' the universal primordial ether, or 'NUN' as was expressed in the Egyptian myth of long ago?!?]]

 

The destroyer is HATHOR - the executioner of mankind, that the Egyptians associated with the SCORPIUS constellation. Hathor's journey would be the "superwave' that culminated in THE GREAT FLOOD, circa 9600 B.C. This would be memorialized as "THE CHARGING BULL OF TAURUS" journeying towarad the anti-center of the galaxy. The author further emphasizes that all of these dynamics amazingly - are displayed on the roof of the TEMPLE of DENDERAH, where 13,865 B.C. marked the date "marking the time when SAGITTARIUS' arrow was aimed" precisely at the heart of the Scorpion..."

What is really amazing is that this same basic "myth" is enshrined in many other cultures, incuding Pre-Columbian Mexico, ancient Persia, the festival of the Druid's ALL HALLOW'S EVE, the Feast of the Lamp (Hindus), the Feast of the Lantern (Japanese), the Biblical Deluge, as well as the ominous warning of the AZTECS, who mark the end of their "FIFTH WORLD" (similar to the Hopi "FOURTH WORLD" as previously discussed,) as the time when "the Pleiades reached the midnight zenith." (pgs. 84-85)

 

BIBLICAL INFERENCES & THE GALACTIC SUPERWAVE

 

If you check your Bible for the following specific references, you may detect (as the author had surmised,) that the Biblical authors (somehow?) were aware of the same Galactic Superwave phenomena JUST AS the ancients of so many other cultures were apparenbtly aware of. This appears to be the implied (if not clearly inferred essence for the current thesis under examination, that Laviolette presented with such conviction in 1997. The Biblical references include:

 

a) Revelations, chapters 6,8 & 9

b) 2 Peter 3:6

c) Matt 24: 27,29, 30, 37, 40 & 44

d) Amos 9:5 (as highlighted previously)

e) Micah, chapter one

f) Isaiah, chapters 2, 13, 23, 24, 30 & 34

g) Jeremiah, chapter 4

h) Joel, chapter 2

 

Some of the key Biblical expressions used (which would be in keeping with the characteristics of Laviolette's Galactic Superwave,) are as follows:

 

the heavens and earth reserved under fire~the day of the Lord as a thief in the night~the sun darkening & the moon no light~the Earth mourning at the Son of Man~similar to the days of Noah~some taken while other are left (which is very similar to the Hopi "WORLDS'" story)~the land will

 

The second chapter of JOEL specifically mentions darkness & widespread conflagration, brought about by attacking forces. Could this be an apt description of the Galactic Superwave? (p.99) Yet, one of the most telling descriptions is from ISAIAH 30:25-26, where he speaks of the sun that will shine seven times its normal strength. [This is not only a strong indication of the coming scorching heat that led to the Mastadons going north to another doom (as previously discussed,) but this same description was cited by the author from the Hindu myth (recorded by Maakandeya,) where he speaks of the last cataclysm, that included a draught of the seven blazing suns, and a fire to consume all.

 

Before ending this cross-disciplinary approach of Laviolette, that seemingly connects many diverse dots while presenting his thesis in this book under analysis, I wish to mention three other controversial areas that - perhaps - may bear on the Galactic Superwave, namely, some observations about the miracle of Fatima, some reference to Edgar Cayce (who had spoken to the subject of ATLANTIS in his own channeled data, yet Dr. Laviolette points to a

 

THE FATIMA PROPHECY

 

Dr. Laviolette zeroes in on a channeler (Ray Stanford) who had written a book called,

 

Stanford had indicated that part of the FATIMA message of October of 1917 (the same year, coincidentally, that astronomer Shapley had identified our Galactic Center,) that there would be a

 

The so-called "MIRACLE OF THE SUN" (witnessed by at least 50,000 peole, according to various sources reporting on this phenomenon,) prophesied in symbol form as to what could happen ~ i.e. the sun "shall be darkened" and eventually the sun's rays would drastically change on our Earth, and even the ozone would poison many. The sun even spun on its axis three times, symbolizing (according to Stanford,) that this would go on for three days. The survivors would be aided by the angels & the White Brotherhood. (pgs. 330-332) {{After having previously reviewed

 

NEVERTHELESS, the hypothesis Laviolette presents about ATLANTIS seems to fit in (nicely) with his thesis about the effects of the Galactic Superwave. According to this idea, there was a "clue" in Plato's "CRITIAS" where Poseidon (Neptune) had rulership of the seas, and the only "land" territory he received was ATLANTIS; however, it was spawned through the union with Clito, (a mortal maiden within the Earth, or a union of water & earth elements.)

 

SO...

 

Water is earthlike when it solidifies to ice, and if it is continent-like, it would be described as ice sheets, as in the ice sheets of North America. Incidentally, this would be of a size that approximates ASIA MINOR & LIBYA combined, (as Plato, himself, had indicated in his writings on ATLANTIS.) Furthermore, ice could be construed as its "remote colonies," which would include parts of Soputh Amereica, South Africa, Australia & Antarctica. (pgs. 222-223) {{It almost seems

 

Now ATLANTIS went into the ocean after a vicious attack, so this may be a good metaphor for the glacial meltwater that ice sheets released from their surfaces. This myth Sais (the ancient priest) told Solon in parable form, at least from Dr. Laviolette's perspective. The so-called "sinking" was really a

 

WHAT IS THE TRANSLATION OF THIS METAPHOR?

 

Remember, the ancient priest was only allowed to utter the truth indirectly. The truth may be that the explosion of the "ET ATLANTIS" (the Galactic Center,) caused the terrestrial ATLANTIS (the glacial ice sheet) to launch a devastating flood attack upon our ancient ancestors. (p.230)

 

In a footnote on page 236, the author cites Edgar Cayce (SLEEPING PROPHET/channeler,) as giving the "sinking" of ATLANTIS as 10,600 B.C. He even had two other dates of 30,000 & 53,000 years ago for planetary catastrophes, which, according to Laviolette, matches two key ice age climatic demarcations. {{Another scientist who the author does not mention is one, Otto Muck, who had the sinking of ATLANTIS more toward the 9500 B.C. timeframe, but in his book called,
