INTRODUCTION TO POEM & THIS WEBSITE
I have learned (which will be reflected in my below poem,) that 'RELIANCE' is the key concept of both the Old & New Covenant, which themselves are presently referred to as "Testaments."
Reliance, but on whom? Simple: Yahweh, our God whom Yahushua (as we now call Jesus in the vernacular,) taught us also in the New Covenant to rely on...{{We should recall that our father, Abraham, did so rely on Yahweh, that He blessed Abraham, and repeated that promise to Abraham's son Isaac...so...we, being sons of Abraham have the same obligation to follow in his footsteps and RELY ON THE FATHER IN THE SAME WAY, so the Father of All will be just as happy with us as He was with Abraham and the pure lineage that led to the virgin birth of Jesus Christ! By doing so with a pure heart, we show ourselves not to be hypocrits, as was the case of the Scribes & Pharisees, who only professed to be
sons of Abraham, but were far-far-from the love of God.}}
If we did this in all earnestness, we would not be so eager to listen to other calls, and our ears would not "itch" for the seduction of these calls (2 TIM 4:3-4.) It seems simple, but the ways of Satan are mighty and fierce and seductive, so we must always be on our guard...to listen (as sheep) to the voice of the true shepard, and that voice ONLY!!!
Does it really matter where Yahushua spent the hidden years? Does it really matter what the process is or the modus operandi for our salvation, when Yahushua desires that all men be saved? (2 PETER 3:9) Surely, a plan is in place that is fair to all men, or what we honor would not really be THE ONE TRUE AND ONLY GOD!
YAHUSHUA IS THE NEW ARK OF THE COVENANT, AND IF WE CLING TO ANYTHING, WE SHOULD CLING TO HIM, just as Noah and his family were saved by the first ark, and later, the people who listened to Moses and what he was given by the Father: the ten commandments, which were carried in the Ark of the Covenant.
If we really rely on Yahweh and His manifested only begotten Son, then NOTHING ELSE SHOULD MATTER IN THE LEAST!!! (If we listened to the VOICE of Moses in the desert, and harkened to the ten commandments, we will also have the same ears to listen to Yahushua's urgings, by adhering to the eight beatitudes, as found in the New Covenant.
Let us take as a sterling example of RELIANCE - the faithfulness of Hezekiah, Kng of Judah, who, in the face of overwhelming odds, did not waver in his faith to His God, and the very night before the seige against Jerusalem, an angel of the Lord came and
put to death 185,000 men of Sennacherib, who was forced to retreat the very next day. There was no greater king of Judah either before or since, and God protects His own! 2 KINGS 18 & 19
This is what this website stands for, regardless of the many aspects being offered and presented for your review. And it is in this spirit that I offer you the below true story, told in poetry form by the author of this website, who was being urged to listen to foreign voices, and adhere to strange ideas: ENJOY!
RELIANCE
How quick are we to turn away
and curry favors in the night
to bathe in such a false delight...
We dream in bed with 'sights' unseen
and wallow in our 'goddess queen'
and how she conjures us to see
her beauty's there for only me!
But now I see with different eyes
how all of this was only lies:
No beauty was there by my side ~
just lies and lies and lies!
If only I had God inside
I would have seen through "their" cruel lies
the conjuring of my "sweet pea"
by reading Deuteronomy...
rely in God and He in me!
So this - my lesson late in life
beware of 'flickers' in the night
as well as phantoms of the day
reject them all without delay.
Rely on God and His true word
and with these words thyself do gird:
Leviticus has spoken true;
Away from God is phantom stew.

Yahushua is our Savior, God’s way of delivering us from death and sparing our lives. Cry out to Him and rely on Him and you will be delivered into Yahweh’s presence, saved from sin and spared the agony of death and separation.

Reliance on Yahweh ALONE!
"But if any of you is wanting in wisdom, let him ask it of God, who gives abundantly to all men, and does not reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask with faith, without hesitation. For he who hesitates is like a wave of the sea, driven and carried about by the wind. Therefore, let not such a one think that he will receive anything from the Lord (here meaning Yahweh) being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

Moses’ lifting up of a snake on a pole was a Messianic salvation prophecy. During the exodus, the Jews "spoke against God and Moses, saying, ‘Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread. There is no water. And we detest this miserable food.’ So then Yahuweh sent venomous snakes among them. They bit the people and many Yisra’elites died. The people came to Moses and said, ‘We sinned when we spoke against Yahuweh and you. Pray that Yahuweh will take the snakes away from us.’ So Moses prayed for the people. Yahuweh said to Moses, ‘Make a snake and put it up on a pole. Anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.’" (Numbers 21:5-9) Rejecting Yahuweh is sin. Not relying upon Him is death. Yahushua was lifted up on a pole to cure and heal us. Those who look to Him for salvation live. Reliance upon the Anointed/Messiah Yahushua is the means to eternal life. It is the message of the Old Covenant and the Renewed.

THE ANALOGY OF THE 'LOINCLOTH'

Be like the loincloth that stays close to the man (as you stay close and cling to your God) but if the loincloth should separate from the man for a long time, it will be found rotting and good for nothing!

RELIANCE & 'THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY
I believe that this book of the Old Covenant is among the most significant books, that reflects the overwhelming theme of RELIANCE upon THE FATHER as the key to salvation. Its validity is reflected since Jesus Himself quoted from it at least three times while engaging the evil one in the desert, before His sacred ministry.
The whole book is both profoundly insightful and sad at the same time, since it shows that most people will not do what the Father desires (28:62) so many curses will fall upon the children of this world - since they have chosen this world (and the things that accompany it) over the wishes of the Father of All - THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION.
In keeping with the theme of "THE BITE OF THE SERPENT" series, I simply quote a revealing group of verses from chapter 13 (2-5) with the referenced footnote on same, for your inspection and meditation. I think it speaks volumes as to what is going on today, and the bad choices people are making in counterdistinction to the will of the Father.
"If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer* who promises you a sign or wonder, urging you to follow other gods (demons, as per 32:17,) whom you have not known, and to serve them: even though the sign or wonder he has foretold comes to pass, pay no attention to the words of that prophet or that dreamer; for the Lord your God is testing you to learn whether you really love him with all your heart and with all your soul. The Lord your God shall you follow, and him shall you fear; his commandments shall you observe, and his voice shall you heed, serving him and holding fast to him alone."
- FOOTNOTE: Dreamer: a false prophet who pretended to have received revelations from God in his dreams; cf Jer 23, 25-32; Za 10, 2. But dreams can also be a channel of true prophecy (Nm 12, 6; Jl 3, 1) and of genuine revelation (Gn 20, 3. 6; 31, 10. 24; 37, 5. 9; Mt 1 20;2, 12. 19;)
The bottom line of this book is the underlying warning that if one does not rely on the one true Father of all, he or she will not find ultimate peace, but be plagued for his or her refusal to show the respect and devotion due to the Father as creator of all - where all other "gods" are no-gods, but merely pretenders. WE call this phenomenon THE UFO SIDESHOW or FACADE - that currently is perpetrating its fraud against humanity to this present day!

This reliance (confidence in ~ as St. Columba puts it) is the ONLY WAY a child of God can fully respond to God (who imbues free will among his creatures,) and by thus manifesting itself, shows to all - clearly - where one's allegiance truly lies.
